100 Things

In my first Blog I wrote a 100 things page. That was back in 2002.  I thought I would update it for you, as it might give you some perspective.

100 things about me

2    I love to read
3    My favorite bookstore is Vroman’s
4    I have been buying books there since I was 5
5    I have been blogging since October 2001
6    I started after 9-11, I needed an outlet to express myself
7    Was that 2 things?
8    I always wanted to write a book
9    I wrote my first when I was 5
10  It was called Francis’s Tooth
11  I still have it
12  I used to hide in the peach tree so I wouldn’t get spanked
13  My mother is a fanatical catholic
14  She tried to make me one too
15  It did not work (thank god)
16  I believe in God
17  I don’t go to church
18  I hope I go to heaven, if there is one
19  I love ice cream
20  My favorite flavor is Tin Roof Sundae
21  I also like dark chocolate hot fudge sundae’s
22  I used to eat p-nut butter and dill pickle sandwiches
23  That was in the fourth grade
24  No one would sit next to me at lunch, and trades were out of the question
25  I began using the internet in 1994
26  I met my husband ex-husband in the chat room “30 something”
27  We are both considered geeks
28  Geeks are nerds with social skills
29  I like stuffed animals
30  I still have one that was given to me by my great uncle ed 40 years ago
31  I have about 50 beanie babies
32  I LOVE animals
33  I have 2 dogs, 3 rats and 1 cat 3 dogs.
34  My best dog bear died on 9/9/01, my grandfathers birthday
35  She was almost 14, my grandpa would have been 106
36  I feed all of the wildlife around my home
37  I spend about $25 a week on bird seed and critter food
38  One night we had a possum kit drinking from the dog bowl
39  I love seeing all  the birds eating in the morning when I wake up
40  I have had 2 different horses, Lexy and Phoebe
41  I would like another one some day
42  I wish I could rescue all the animals in all the shelters
43  I rescued Francis from here
44  I like to drink grey goose vodka with tonic and lime
45  Or a vodka martini
46  I used to like Stolichnaya, but my tastes are more refined now
47  It will do in a pinch, I am not that snotty
48  I probably drink more that I should anyway
49  I also like good wine
50  I was born in the year of the Boar
51  I don’t consider my self a bore

53  My father died when I was 26
54  I wanted to have a better relationship with him
55  My grandfather, my father’s father, died when I was 27
56  I loved him so much and miss him dearly
57  My grandmother, my mother’s mother is died when she was 93
58  She taught me to be strong
59  I love her dearly, and miss her now
60  My other grandparents died when I was very young
61  My favorite season is autumn
62  I love cold weather
63  I live in Southern California
64  I love to ski, and to hike
65  I had one sister, no brothers
66  She died when she was 34, I was 35
67  I miss her
68  I get headaches a lot
69  I take 4-5 advil once or twice a day

73  I am an Information Technology Manager Director
74  I hope to be promoted to CIO soon I was promoted to Director in 2004

79  I lived in Lake Tahoe for 10 years
80  I climbed 3 10,000 foot peaks in the Lake Tahoe basin

95  My husband  ex-husband bought them for me, they are all broken now
96  Wine tastes better out of crystal
